Job Description

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

The Coordinator II, Data Analyst Title III (G) facilitates daily operations within assigned area. Responsible for supporting data collection, entry and analysis activities for the Title III SIP grant. Responsible for coordination of support functions such as scheduling, communications, workflows, supplies, information processing, and staff support. May be responsible for coordinating budget planning process and for tracking and coordinating budget expenditures. Makes and communicates process decisions based on best practices. This is a grant-funded position, continuation of the position from one academic year to the next is contingent upon continued grant funding.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Coordinate daily operations of data for Title III. Maintain records. Maintain current knowledge base of assigned area and acts as a point of contact for internal Airs unit
  2. Analyzes and extrapolates quantitative and qualitative data necessary to tell the story and display areas of challenge and progress based upon federal grant deliverables and college mission
  3. May schedule and prioritize work and activities and organize training materials for staff
  4. Create and submit a variety of reports related to assigned area and presents findings. May make presentations to both internal and external customers
  5. Coordinate various department and leadership calendars and schedules. Plan, schedule and coordinate various meetings/seminars/events, including site selection and preparation, marketing and training materials, and general support
  6. May be responsible for ensuring and maintaining compliance with local/state/federal compliance of processes and documentation within assigned area
  7. Monitor and control resources such as office supplies and equipment needed within the department. Submit requisitions, and review and approve/deny purchase requests in accordance with the budget. Assist with management of the department budget
  8. Assists with creating methods of evaluation of assigned area. Analyzes results and makes recommendations for revisions to objectives and strategies
  9. Assists with management of the department budget.
  10. Takes part in and/or takes lead on special projects as needed
  11. Responsible for other reasonable related duties as assigned

PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.

WORK SCHEDULE AND CONDITIONS:
  • Equipment used includes, PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone and other general office equipment
  • Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position
  • Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Associate degree and at least 3 years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Previous federal grant work preferred
  • Bachelor's degree
Salary

Hiring salary range is $43,070 - $49,531.

Lone Star College provides a hiring salary range for all posted full-time non-faculty positions. Where your salary offer would fall in that range is determined by your related experience and education.
