Job Description:

The Stabler Department of Nursing at York College of Pennsylvania is pleased to invite Family Nurse Practitioners or Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioners who have experience working with adults or families to teach in our nursing graduate programs.

The successful candidate will be at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, depending upon level of experience and education. The position will begin January 2023. Applicants should have an established record of teaching at the graduate level in nursing. Administrative experience is desired. The successful candidate will teach at the graduate level, advise students, and supervise clinical experiences. Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication skills and have a strong commitment to working as part of a collaborative team in the Stabler Department of Nursing.

Additionally, candidates should demonstrate potential for commitment to the college and community through prior service activities. The ideal applicant should possess an earned doctorate in nursing or a related discipline and demonstrate evidence of scholarly potential.


Requirements:

Requirements:
  • Nationally recognized certification as an AGNP, FNP, or AG-CNS.
  • Have at least 1 year of practice experience as an AGNP, FNP, or CNS.
  • Earned doctoral degree in nursing or have a specific plan for completing doctoral preparation within 2 years of appointment.
  • Unencumbered Pennsylvania nursing license (active or eligible).
  • Have at least 1 year of experience in teaching.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Teaching experience at the graduate or undergraduate level.
  • On-line teaching experience.
