The position provides critical support for the curricular and instructional planning and management activities within the School of Education. The position will plan and implement forward-looking course schedules that meet student time-to-completion needs while utilizing faculty, time, and space effectively. The position will support course evaluation processes. The position can support course and program-related student academic processes. Qualifications
Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Two (2) plus years of experience supporting academic processes such as instructional scheduling and resourcing, or three (3) plus years in a related field that requires substantial planning and scheduling is required. Job Specific Qualifications
Knowledge of course scheduling policies and procedures for graduate and undergraduate programs.
Demonstrated organizational skills, ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with faculty, staff and students.
Adept at locating information, managing data and solving problems.
Working knowledge of University computer systems.
Demonstrated commitment to working with diverse populations. Responsibilities
  • Work with University systems to support course scheduling processes for all School of Education graduate and undergraduate programs during the academic year and for special sessions, such as summer session and Winterlude. Populate course data on MySlice. Work closely with SOE department and program faculty and staff. Coordinate with School of Education staff, Curriculum Committee and other University offices as appropriate.
  • Manage registration issues related to course capacity. Manage course caps and wait lists.
  • Resource classes including coordinating room requests and initiating the hiring of part time faculty as needed.
  • Support course evaluation processes.
  • Maintain the dissertation registry.
