Description
Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement and evaluate a comprehensive student organization and fraternity/sorority life program which delivers quality and diverse opportunities.

  • Serve as the main point of contact for all student organizations, fraternities, and sororities.

  • Advise the governing councils for fraternity/sorority life (IFC and PHC).

  • Coordinate and provide support for all recruitment and intake programs.

  • Assist in budget tracking for student organizations and fraternity/sorority life.

  • Manage relevant social media accounts for the student activities team.

  • Oversee the processes for Chapter Accreditation, Community Grade Reports, and risk management for the FSL community.

  • Manage relevant software, including Presence, for student organizations and FSL.

  • Co-plan and facilitate the annual Student Involvement Fair.

  • Provide assistance and guidance to students in the process of creating new organizations, the registration process, training officers, and advising the groups to ensure they are meeting all requirements.

  • Create marketing material and promote student organization and fraternity/sorority life events, to encourage maximum attendance by all students.

  • Recruit, interview, hire, lead, motivate, supervise, and evaluate the student staff.

  • Act as a student advocate, providing guidance and appropriate referrals to students seeking assistance.

  • Actively participate in appropriate Carroll University committees, task forces, and professional associations and conferences.

  • Assist with the production of major University-wide programs.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Candidates must be willing and able to support and advance the University mission.



    Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • Preference will be given to candidates with at least two years of experience (including undergraduate experience) in student activities, Fraternity/Sorority Life, Student Organization Management, program planning and/or event management.

  • Strong preference for candidates affiliated with a fraternity or sorority.

  • Demonstrated commitment to and understanding of anti-racist programming and developmental efforts.

  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to work evening and weekend hours.

  • High energy level, self-motivated and self-directed.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in student personnel or a related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience from which comparable skills can be acquired is preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collegially with staff and faculty.

  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and execute complex events.

  • Excellent leadership, organization, interpersonal, and oral/written/presentations skills.
