Animal Care Technician I
Scripps Research is currently seeking an Animal Technician for its
Florida facility. This entry level position is responsible for the
daily care of research animals including feeding, cage washing,
maintaining a clean environment and monitoring the overall health
of the animals; animal husbandry; preparing, sterilizing &
washing laboratory caging & equipment; performing housekeeping
within the facility; maintaining cage wash machinery; handling
waste disposal; receiving feed, bedding, equipment & supplies;
compiling animal inventories; performing other related duties,
tasks & responsibilities as required or assigned.
Commensurate with experience.
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) with no experience
necessary. One to three years, animal care experience can be
substituted for a high school diploma/equivalent.
No experience necessary, but prefer one year animal care
