Endicott College's School of Social Sciences, Communication and Humanities is seeking an experienced and passionate Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice to join the close-knit community of educators who care deeply about their students. Endicott is located in the beautiful seaside town of Beverly, MA - a wonderful place to work and enjoy all that the Northshore of Boston has to offer.

The criminal justice degree program at Endicott College embraces the broad scope of the discipline, encompassing crime, law enforcement, the legal process, and correctional systems. The Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice will teach four criminal justice courses each semester and advise up to 25 students. This full-time, academic year starting position starting Fall 2022, includes medical, dental, retirement and tuition benefits for you and your family. Other responsibilities of the Assistant Professor, Criminal Justice:

  • Evidence of ongoing scholarly activities (research, publications, presentations, etc.) that enhance teaching and deepen knowledge base in subject areas;
  • Actively pursues professional development opportunities.
  • Mentors students;
  • Provides service to the Department, School and the College;
  • Actively participates in relevant professional organizations;
  • Performs other duties as required and as allowed by the ECFA-Endicott Contract.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Criminal Justice (ABDs will be considered if degree will be completed by effective date of appointment);
  • College-level teaching experience;
  • Experience in a liberal art setting and/or experiential learning;
  • Have a well-defined and innovative research agenda that complements and expands the existing strengths of the Division of Social Sciences.
