Portland Community College is seeking a Grants Accounting Manager to lead the grants accounting unit for the Financial Services Division. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate throughout the College to manage a diverse portfolio of grants to enhance student success. Employees have the option of a hybrid work arrangement where a portion of their regular workweek is spent remote/telecommuting and the other portion is spent at the Downtown Center or assigned campus location.

Experience
• Managing federal, state, and private grant accounting for a government or non-profit;
• Coordinating and monitoring grant activity with auditors and governmental agencies;
Knowledge of
• Federal and state laws, rules and regulations for grants and contracts;
• Government or non-profit fund accounting systems and principles;
• Supervisory principles and team building techniques;
• Banner or other large scale financial systems;
Demonstrated Skills
• Monitoring compliance with applicable policies, procedures, rules, and regulations;
• Communicating effectively through oral and written mediums;
• Commitment to diversity equity and inclusion to support the development of staff from a broad spectrum of backgrounds, identities, and lived experiences.

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered, your application must demonstrate these minimum qualifications. (Experience is calculated based on the start and end dates you provide multiplied by the number of hours per week worked).

Bachelor’s Degree Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related area (relevant experience may substitute for the degree
requirement on a year-for-year basis).

Five years progressively responsible, professional experience related to grants accounting.

Two years of experience with management-level supervision of employees (hiring, assessment, discipline, etc).

Position Grade K Starting Salary Expectations Minimum $72,283 to range midpoint of $88,547. Placement will generally not exceed the mid-point, based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity. Position Grade Salary Range $72283 to $104810 Annual Salary FTE 1 PCC Benefits

PCC currently fully funds the Oregon Public Employees Retirement System (PERS/OPSRP) pension and contributes an additional 6% into the employee's Individual Account Program under PERS/OPSRP. After one year of management or confidential service, PCC also provides a 2% contribution to a 403(b) account for eligible management and confidential personnel. PCC offers a tax deferred annuity program and a deferred compensation program where employees may save additional pre-tax dollars for retirement.

Additionally, PCC provides a tuition waiver for you, your spouse/domestic partner, and dependent children under 24 years of age, as well as partial tuition reimbursement for full-time employees at other accredited institutions.

Paid Leave: (Pro-rated by FTE for Part-Time Employees)
- 14.67 hours of vacation leave per month
- 1 day of sick leave per month
- 11 holidays
- 3 additional personal leave days per year

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements Work is generally performed in an office environment with frequent interruptions and irregularities in the work schedule. No special coordination beyond that used for normal mobility and handling of everyday objects and materials is needed to perform the job satisfactorily. Background Check Required Yes
