Emporia State University is seeking highly qualified candidates for the position of Student Success Program Coordinator in Emporia, KS. The Program Coordinator is a full-time, year-round, staff position that reports to the Vice President of Enrollment Management and Student Success (VPEMSS). The position typically works 8am-5pm with some evening and weekend expectations.

The Program Coordinator contributes to the development and execution of events and strategies to positively impact student recruitment, retention, and graduation. Responsibilities can include, but are not limited to, growth and execution of the Parent+Family Program and Hornet Connections (enrollment events); communication with and assist student and other constituents; generation of reports and data; development, execution and evaluation of student success events and technologies; and collaboration with multiple campus partners including all Enrollment Management and Student Success departments and Alumni Association. The Program Coordinator is an essential component of the larger Enrollment Management and Student Success team


Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Lead campus wide committee(s) and meetings pertinent to enrollment management and student success (EMSS).
  • Provide support and leadership to EMSS personnel, strategies and programs.
  • Support and collaborate with all of campus and other constituents regarding ESU enrollment, retention, and graduation.
  • Develop and grow the Parent+Family Program and Hornet Connections.

Programming Responsibilities:

  • Create and execute events and strategies to increase enrollment and student success, especially for varying student population.
  • Utilize exemplary practices, develop and administer programs and policies.
  • Positively contribute to the Strategic Enrollment Management Plan.

Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Produce reports and analyze data .
  • Collaborate with and support EMSS departments and events.
  • Coordinate with Marketing and Media Relations and IT regarding re-recruitment of current students.

The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, organized, and detail orientated individual with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills. The candidate must be creative, communicative, and an excellent collaborator who knows how to work independently and as a team player to achieve goals related to the ESU mission and strategic plan.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Event planning experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently
  • Excellent communication, organizational and customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two or more years’ experience working with college students
  • Experience with Banner
  • Experience analyzing data
  • Fluency in Spanish

The salary for this position is $37,000 or higher based on experience and qualifications. This position also qualifies for a comprehensive benefits package.
