MS Postdoctoral Fellow, Instructor of Neurology

Description

The MS fellowship program at Dell Medical School provides one year of comprehensive training in the diagnosis, treatment, and clinical and translational research for multiple sclerosis and related autoimmune disorders of the central nervous system. One-year fellowship position (7/01/2023 - 6/30/2024). This is a gift funded position for one year and renewable based upon availability of funding, work performance, and progress toward research goals.
  • Provide outpatient care for new and established patients, perform neurological procedures such as lumbar punctures or skin punch biopsies, and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary team to develop and coordinate comprehensive treatment plans for patients.

  • Participate in the design and execution of a supervised research, quality improvement or community project.

  • Attend and occasionally present at weekly team meetings and educational lectures and conferences.

  • Contribute to patient education initiatives in the Community.

Qualifications
  • Must hold M.D., D.O. or equivalent degree, have successfully completed an ACGME-accredited residency in neurology and have an active Texas medical license or a Physician in Training Permit by the fellowship start date.
  • Must be eligible for a faculty appointment with The University of Texas Dell Medical School.
