Instructor of Economics (beginning August 16, 2022) USC Sumter. USC Sumter is seeking an Instructor of Economics to teach twelve hours/semester, undergraduate, day, evening, and off-campus classes. Courses will be taught mostly face-to-face and sometimes online. Master’s degree required from an accredited institution by the beginning date of employment, including credentials necessary for departmental approval to teach introductory and upper-level courses as needed. A graduate degree in economics preferred. Student advising and participation on campus committees are expected. Salary commensurate with education & experience.

Candidates must demonstrate commitment to or submit a record of effective undergraduate teaching, including general education courses for non-majors. Evidence of teaching effectiveness is required in the application documents. The required courses include but are not limited to ECON 221, 222, 224, and MGSC 290.

Required Education and Experience

Candidates must possess a master’s degree from an accredited institution by the beginning date of employment, including credentials necessary for departmental approval to teach introductory and upper-level courses as needed.
