Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for nine-month, tenure track Assistant Professor of Software Engineering and/or Game Development faculty positions in the Department of Software Engineering and Game Design and Development (SWEGD) beginning August 2022.
Responsibilities Include:
- Nine-month position with optional summer teaching
- Teaching expectations include teaching the graduate and undergraduate courses in Software Engineering and/or Computer Game Design and Development.
- Faculty are expected to teach in a variety of instructional modalities, including face-to- face, hybrid, and online.
- Scholarship/Research expectations include seeking external grants and publishing scholarly work.
- Service to the Department, College, University, and/or professional community is
- Participating in course and program development activities
- Participating in outreach and promotion activities
- Working with diverse communities
An earned PhD, or foreign equivalent in a computing, software engineering, or computer game design discipline, or closely related field, is required for the positions.
Preferred Qualifications Include
- College teaching experience
- Experience in teaching online or hybrid courses
- Experience working with diverse communities
- Interested in candidates with research and/or teaching background in, but not limited to, Computer Game Design and Development, Computer Graphics, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, HCI and Software Engineering
