ADJUNCT TEACHER EDUCATION

Ferrum College seeks to appoint a pool of applicants for the 2022-2023 academic year for online adjunct teaching positions in Graduate Teacher Education. This pool will be accessed only when an opening arises. Credentials will remain active once the application is submitted.

Required Qualifications:

• Earned Doctorate in Education or related discipline such as Curriculum and Instruction, Learning Design and Technology, or related field.
• Ability to teach graduate level coursework in one or more of the following areas: Educational Assessment, Curriculum Design, Educational Coaching, Action Research, Learning Technologies, and Educational Leadership.
• Strong oral presentation and communication skills required.
• Evidence of teaching excellence, advanced knowledge and/or experience in the field of Education.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in a PK-12 setting.
• Experience teaching in a higher education setting.
• Experience with inclusive and culturally responsive pedagogy and practice.
• Experience with assessment of student learning outcomes.
• Experience teaching in graduate-instruction.
• Experience with distance learning and/or alternate instructional delivery systems.
