Position Summary
Visiting Assistant Professor of Economics is a 9 month appointment in the School of Business Administration. A Visiting Assistant Professor is responsible for teaching 24 credits per academic year.

Minimum Qualifications
- Ph.D., ABD, or Master’s degree in Economics
- Ability to teach principles of macroeconomics and principles of microeconomics
- College level teaching experience
- Demonstrated teaching excellence
- A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities
- Ph.D. in Economics
- Demonstrated success working in a diverse student environment
- Work experience outside of academia
- Online teaching experience
- Ability to teach a range of upper-division economics courses
- Teach 12 credits per semester in Principles of Microeconomics and Principles of Macroeconomics courses
- Other teaching assignments may be developed based on the successful candidate’s area of expertise
- Hold regular office hours
- Engage authentically with students, the department and colleagues
- Takes responsibility for all grading of student work and submitting grades at the end of each semester
- Demonstrates a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities
- Maintains knowledge and awareness of digital accessibility including the American with Disabilities Act and Section 508
- Produces and remediates digitally accessible materials in accordance with FLC standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
