Position Summary:


Gettysburg College invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor position for the Business, Organizations, and Management Major in the Department of Management to begin August 2022. The teaching load is three classes in the fall and three classes in the spring.  Field of specialization is open, but we will give the strongest consideration to candidates who can demonstrate the ability to teach courses in research methods (with an emphasis on quantitative methodologies, study design, and data analysis using SPSS) and organizational behavior.  Consideration also will be given to candidates who can teach elective courses in the major (e.g., international management, human resource management, organizational culture, workplace motivation, decision making, or policy and strategy) while complementing the Critical Managerial Studies focus of the major (see for details) and integrating issues of diversity into these upper-level courses. 




Candidates should hold a Ph.D. (or be ABD) in Business, Management, or related fields. Candidates must be committed to interdisciplinary teaching in the liberal arts tradition, and demonstrate through their teaching and scholarship that they can contribute to the diversity and excellence of our community.
