Parking Enforcement Officer (non-sworn)

The Parking Enforcement Officer enforces the university's parking regulations by patrolling parking lots operated by UNC Asheville. Enforcement activities will also involve monitoring parking and events using surveillance cameras, alarm panels, or other electronic security systems. Work includes inventorying, maintaining and deploying equipment used to manage parking and events as well as maintaining related records and reports. 

This position requires knowledge of the standard safety, surveillance, security and parking enforcement practices and equipment; basic knowledge of standard methods of reporting and handling emergencies such as disturbances and fires, medical and security threats; knowledge of applicable policies, rules, and regulations. 

The employee in this position is expected to maintain confidentiality and discretion in the course of conducting business.  Employee is expect to work individually and/or with others; and adapt to change and circumstances.
