The School of Business at The University of North Carolina at
Pembroke invites applications
for a full-time, tenure track faculty position in Accounting.
The position will be available in Fall,
2022.
Rank is open and depends on the qualifications and
achievements of the candidate. Salary is
competitive and commensurate with experience and
qualifications.
Responsibilities include: undergraduate and graduate
accounting course teaching assignment;
engage in appropriate research and publication to maintain
scholarly currency and AACSB
scholarly academic (SA) designation; provide academic
advising; contribute to curriculum
development; serve on various committees, and assume other
instructional and service related
duties as assigned.
Desired disciplines for instruction include tax or
intermediate, as well as upper level courses. Course assignments
may be during the daytime or evenings, and include both on and
off-campus locations as well as online delivery.
Experience in incorporating business analytics and other
technology in delivery is preferred.
Proven and documented success in undergraduate and graduate
teaching is highly desirable.
Senior candidates must demonstrate a strong record of
scholarly activities as documented by
recently published articles in peer reviewed academic
journals.
Minimum Training and Experience Requirements: An earned Ph.D. in Accounting or Doctor of Business Administration (with a CPA) is required. Earned Ph.D. or DBA earned from an AACSB accredited university is preferred.
