JOB DESCRIPTION

The Department of Global Languages and Cross-Cultural Studies at the University of Indianapolis invites applications for an Associate Adjunct of French. The Department is looking for a candidate with a strong background in world language pedagogy. This is a part-time, nine-month, teaching-focused position beginning in August 2022. Currently, the teaching load is up to 21 credit hours a year.

The successful candidate should have a documented history of effective teaching of French at the university level with a communicative approach. This part-time position will teach beginning and intermediate language classes and may co-teach with other department faculty in multilingual classes as needed.

Ph.D. or ABD status in French, Francophone culture, French Linguistics or similar field preferred; candidates with an MA in French, French education or similar field with teaching experience will be considered. Interest in Canadian or African French and/or the ability to collaborate in our Africana Studies concentration is a plus. Eligibility to work in the United States at the time of appointment is required.

QUALIFICATIONS
