Job Summary: This position provides college-wide leadership for community standards including student conduct, behavioral intervention and education and awareness. Plans, assesses, evaluates and administers the college's community standards and judicial affairs programs and services for students. This position investigates alleged community standards violations and manages adjudication of incidents. In addition, this position leads a student support team (BIT) to provide student support and referral . This position serves as the Title IX Deputy Coordinator for the College. Educational programming and outreach to engage all students as engaged active community members is required.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and 3 years related experience.*

Hiring Range: $66,067 - $84,236

Job Specific Task List:

1. Governs the student judicial affairs processes at HACC to ensure college policy and procedures are administered properly and with a developmental approach; establishes judicial committees consistent with the college policy pertaining to student conduct; serves as the chair of the college-wide judicial committee that hears student conduct cases; maintains records; and assesses processes and procedures for compliance and positive outcomes.

2. Serves as a college-wide resource, providing expert advice, guidance, and assistance with direct student intervention during times of student crisis; assists with crisis response coordination.

3. Instructs, trains, and advises students, faculty, and staff in the judicial affairs process; designs and delivers educational programs for the college community, targeting socially relevant topics with presentations that are tailored to the specific audience.

4. Serve as the college's Maxient Administrator; reviews reports on students of concern and alleged violations of the student code of conduct.

5. Oversees the college wide behavioral intervention team (BIT) as committee chair and selects members; manages, trains, and evaluates the work of the (BIT), using expert judgment to develop responses appropriate to faculty and staff BIT reports; maintains records; reviews reports; assesses status, progress and outcomes.

6. Collects and analyzes data relative to student conduct; provides Student Affairs leadership with regular reports of concerns, behaviors, judicial activity, and trends; uses data to improve practices.

7. Reviews college conduct policies annually, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations effecting colleges and universities and makes recommendations for change, as indicated by the reviews.

8. Remains abreast of best practices, guidelines, and standards in collegiate judicial affairs, adopted by and consistent with the Council for the Advancement of Standards in Higher Education (CAS) and the Association for Student Conduct Administration (ASCA); acquires expertise in national, federal, and state legislation related to student conduct.

9. Hires, onboards, trains, develops, motivates, supervises, evaluates, disciplines, and separates staff consistent with organizational and strategic goals.
