Enrollment Communications Specialist

SALARY: $25.00 per hour

REPORTS TO: Marketing and New Media Manager

This position will serve as a liaison between the Admissions and Recruitment team and the Marketing and Communications team to coordinate, manage, and execute a communications strategy that assists in the promotion of various recruitment and enrollment initiatives. This role will also stay up-to-date on new trends in admissions and recruitment, as well as provide insight on how Middlesex College can improve its outreach and recruitment efforts.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Collaborates with the Marketing and New Media Manager and the Admissions and Recruitment team to streamline and maximize communications throughout the entire enrollment marketing process, including: e-mail campaigns, text campaigns, social media campaigns, direct mail campaigns, etc.
  2. Works with the Marketing and New Media Manager to identify the best communication mediums for boosting enrollment and recruitment.
  3. Conducts market research and identifies trends that create impactful outreach and recruitment activities.
  4. Coordinates and schedules text campaigns via Mongoose (Texting Platform Service).
  5. Creates PowerPoint decks that present results of admissions and enrollment initiatives based on the communications plan and reporting metrics.
  6. Conducts event and initiative benchmarking assessment and creates best practices documents for the College’s enrollment and marketing efforts.
  7. Collaborates with the College’s CRM and Technology Administrator in streamlining the application communication process.
  8. Supports the maintenance of projects within Basecamp (Project Management System).
  9. Performs other duties as assigned.



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Associate’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communication, or related field
  • Two (2) years of Admissions or Recruitment experience in Higher Education
  • Event or sales experience
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with exceptional attention to detail


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience working with Constant Contact or other e-mail software
  • Experience with a CRM such as Recruit
  • Experience with Ellucian products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as outstanding copywriting and proofreading skills
  • A self-starter and able to independently to move projects forward, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines




SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION:



One part-time, grant-funded position available.

SCHEDULE: Flexible schedule: Part-time, up to 20 hours per week

This is a specially funded position, dependent for its existence upon federal, State, or other non-College operating funds, and is not funded pursuant to the regular College budget. Continued employment is always contingent upon satisfactory performance and College needs. Grant funded positions are also contingent upon continued funding. This appointment is for the specified period only. Employment beyond the expiration date of the grant is subject to appropriate provisions of existing collectively bargained agreements in effect at the time for employees covered by those agreements.
