The Agnes Scott College Department of Public Health is seeking a part-time instructor to teach PH 311 (Global Health) in the fall of 2022.

The successful applicant will have a minimum of a master’s degree in Public Health (MPH) and preferably have a Ph.D. or be ABD in a Ph.D. program. Candidates will also be asked to provide evidence of excellence in teaching, ideally at the undergraduate level. Candidates must have experience teaching global/international health or international development courses.

PH 311 is a course that introduces students to the history of global health, global health organizations and funders, a selection of global health programs, key debates in global health, and the political economy of global health. This course will be taught in-person and synchronously. The course is scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursday, 10-11:15 am. Unfortunately, since students have already registered for courses, that time cannot be changed.

To apply, send electronic copies of your cover letter, curriculum vita, graduate transcripts, diversity statement, and contact information for three references to Dr. Amy Patterson, Chair of Public Health ( apatterson@agnesscott.edu ). Applications will be accepted until position is filled. We plan to begin interviewing candidates by mid-April. Official graduate transcripts will be required before hiring. Please note that it is college policy to only hire candidates who are legally authorized to work in the United States. For the safety of the Agnes Scott community, there is also an expectation that faculty comply with our vaccination and testing policies.
