Position Primary Purpose:
Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry, Department of Information Technology is seeking applicants for a full-time IT Systems Analyst. This position is responsible for the day-to-day systems support for the VCU School of Dentistry and VCU Dental Care units.
Responsibilities:
This position provides computer hardware and software support and troubleshooting for both Windows and Apple computers, as well as assisting with the enterprise management and administration of these systems using SCCM, JAMF, and MSFT Active Directory. This position will also require the support of clinical hardware and software, and occasionally involve working with vendors to resolve software and hardware related integration issues. At times, this position will require the individual to be available outside of normal clinic hours for endpoint upgrades, system upgrades and maintenance. Availability during normal business hours is a requirement. The scope of support is typically during the hours of 7:30 AM and 4:30 PM.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. Equivalent experience may substitute
- Experience with endpoint management and encryption for Windows and Apple is required
- Knowledge of OSD (operating system deployment) and Windows 10 imaging and support are required
- Basic project management experience is required
- Experience working in customer service is required
- Knowledge of MECM, Bitlocker, SCCM, JAMF, Windows Operating System Deployment (OSD), and FileVault are required
- Expert knowledge supporting Windows and Mac endpoints and all peripherals
- Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff and student environment or commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU
- Knowledge of VDI infrastructure, including Citrix, is preferred
- Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) is preferred
- Knowledge of dental equipment, including Dexis sensors, CBCT, PAN, and Intraoral cameras is preferred, but not required
