Multimedia Specialist II

Job Description:
  • Collaborates with instructional designers and faculty on multimedia projects from the conceptual development stages, throughout implementation, to delivery of the finished product. Coordinate the development, production and distribution of digital media assets. Demonstrate visual creativity and the ability to develop video plans for on-location activities and in studio.
  • Plans and performs video post-production tasks which includes reviewing footage, making editorial decisions, video transcoding, rough cuts, audio adjustment, color correction, and final editing using Adobe Creative Suite software. Utilizes computer graphics and special effects for video post-production in accordance with the overall production concepts.
  • Coordinates and guides research and development of digital media tools as well as researches and assesses new trends in digital media that is applicable to online learning. Makes recommendations for new technology and processes to increase efficiencies and improve quality. Responsible for creating and maintaining digital media protocols.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Expected Salary:

$23.94 - $26.34 per hour

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma and three years of relevant experience. Appropriate vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree in media or communications (audio/visual) and one or more years of experience in animation and/or video editing, knowledge of video and photo editing software (i.e., Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop); experience in graphic design and animation a plus.
