Serves students and families in the Financial Aid Office, both in person and over the phone, with all aspects of the financial aid process.
Job Duties
Job duties include but are not limited to:
- 1. Advise and instruct students and families at the front desk and over the phone. Assist with the completion of forms and applications, communicate requirements and information needed for student files. Have clear knowledge of and can easily relay both federal and institutional financial aid policies, processes and procedures.
- 2. Assist other financial aid staff with projects and tasks. Prepare and process paperwork relative to student files and SAP appeals, perform data entry in Banner, serve on departmental committees, conduct call campaigns when requested, assist with student call-backs and email replies. Update requirements in Banner, place reminder calls to students/parents regarding upcoming appointments, maintain and update (as needed) front desk quick reference guides and the Advising training manual, ensure supply of hard-copy forms and student materials is always adequate.
- 3. Serve as Student Services Representative to support and assist students. Assist with other departments upon request.
Duties and responsibilities, as required by business necessity, may be added, deleted or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing. Scheduling, shift assignments and work location may be changed at any time, as required by business necessity.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Associates Degree or 60 complete college credit hours OR at
least 2 years of Financial Aid experience
- Customer Service Experience
Preferred Qualifications - Community College Experience
- Other Higher Education Experience
