The University of North Alabama invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Accounting that will be available August 2023.  Candidates should have, or expect to have, an earned doctorate in accounting when employment begins.  Candidates should have an interest in teaching both graduate and undergraduate accounting courses and a strong willingness to be involved in service activities that involve supporting student-focused departmental activities.  Professional certification related to the accounting profession is required, and experience in accounting and teaching is highly desirable.  The College of Business, accredited by the AACSB, serves approximately 1,400 undergraduate and 1,200 graduate students.  Among its graduate degree offerings, the College of Business offers a Master of Accountancy and an MBA with a concentration in Accounting.  Candidates must be qualified to teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels in accounting.  Rank will depend upon qualifications.  Salary is competitive with other AACSB institutions.  Applications accepted until position is filled.

Minimum qualifications for this position include: an earned doctorate or ABD status in Accounting is required; professional certification related to the accounting profession is required; professional experience in accounting is preferred; and experience in college-level teaching is preferred.

Official transcripts will be required of the successful candidate prior to the start date of the appointment, but unofficial copies will be accepted for the application process.
