Job Summary:

Looking for a motivated, detail-oriented, and organized individual to perform cell-based and biochemical laboratory assays, as well as day to day lab inventory, documentation, and maintenance in a multi-investigator laboratory setting. You will work with a team focused on identifying new targets for the treatment of lung fibrosis and other lung disorders. Must be able to work collegially with others and be adaptable to learning new lab techniques.

Responsibilities:

Develops, designs, and conducts one or more research projects and organizes daily operation of projects and specialized research areas to ensure work meets established objectives under moderate supervision.
  • 45% Conducts research experiments according to established research protocols with moderate impact to the project(s). Collects data and monitors test results
  • 10% Operates, cleans, and maintains organization of research equipment and research area. Tracks inventory levels and places replenishment orders
  • 10% Reviews, analyzes, and interprets data and/or documents results for presentations and/or reporting to internal and external audiences
  • 15% Participates in the development, interpretation, and implementation of research methodology and materials
  • 15% Provides operational guidance on day-to-day activities of unit or program staff and/or student workers
  • 5% Performs literature reviews and writes reports

Education:

Preferred
Bachelor's Degree
Molecular Biology or closely related field in the biological sciences preferred.

Qualifications:

Preferred minimum one year laboratory experience with techniques including western blot, immunoprecipitations, IHC, PCR, cloning and transient transfections. Previous experience in the care and experimentation using mice is also preferred
