Schedule Information: Monday thru Friday, flexible daytime hours between 8:00am-4:30pm

Hours per Week: 29 hours a week

Benefits: Prorated Sick & Vacation; Holiday Pay; and 2 Harper Tuition Waivers per semester

Work Conditions: Work is primarily indoor and sedentary in nature. May require some seasonal flex shifts including some early mornings and later evenings and weekend responsibilities, as needed, to meet departmental objectives

Duties of Position: Performs production design services using current equipment and software. Responsible for the support of the Publishing and Distribution Services workflow from job submission throughout production. Works with co-workers to provide layout, manipulate files and prepare graphics to ensure high quality work is delivered on schedule. Provides customer assistance to our internal clients and assists with general office support as needed. Responsible for assisting with the administration, configuration and updating of the online job submission system, design templating system and job management software.

Works closely with Graphics & Project Specialist and Client Services & Distribution Specialist, as well as the Marketing and Graphics teams to achieve high quality outcomes within the College’s brand standards.

Uses Adobe Creative Suite applications as well as other any other industry layout and prepress software as needed.

Provides updates to existing files, layout and graphic services for general campus clients and Marketing Services as needed.

Creates and/or converts existing marketing and design files to conform to the specifications of our online templating system.

Catalogs, tags and organizes digital assets in the web-based asset management and templating system.

Provides support for maintenance and configuration of job submission, design templating and job management software.

Assists in answering telephones, responding to customer inquiries and job tracking.

Assists with boxing, wrapping and delivery when necessary.

Performs related duties as assigned.

Educational Requirements: High school diploma and/or industry certifications related to field.

Experience Requirements: 2 or more years' experience in design and production. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, other online based graphic software and/or print and design systems.
