Instructor in Marketing

The University of South Dakota’s Beacom School of Business seeks
applications for full-time instructor of marketing starting August
2022.
The Beacom School of Business is the flagship business school in South Dakota and the region with its programs consistently receiving high national rankings from institutions such as U.S. News and World Report, Princeton Review and others.
The successful candidate is expected to teach face-to-face and
online marketing courses at the undergraduate level. The instructor
is expected to bring a unique and innovative educational experience
to students through classroom teaching and mentorship. As such,
there is the opportunity for student engagement through mentoring
student activities outside the classroom. Duties include an
annual teaching load of twenty-four (24) credit hours (typically,
eight classes), related professional engagement, and service for
the Department, profession, and broader community.
Required Qualifications: A Master’s degree in a marketing or related field and prior related marketing experience is required. Ability to teach a variety of marketing courses including digital/social media marketing is required. Other requirements are proficiency in oral and written communication, and enthusiasm for engagement, service, and the public good.
Preferred Qualifications: Extensive professional experience in marketing is preferred. MBA or master’s degree in related field from an AACSB-accredited school is preferred. Prior experience with university teaching in a face-to-face and/or online setting is also preferred. Ability to teach in marketing adjacent fields such as Organizational Behavior is preferred. Candidates with enthusiasm for working with diverse student, staff, and faculty are preferred.
