Auburn University at Montgomery invites applications for two full-time, non-tenure-track Lecturers in English, to begin Fall 2022. The successful candidates will teach first-year composition courses: Introduction to Composition, Composition I, and/or Composition II. Experience teaching first-year composition is expected. Desired qualifications include substantial training in English Composition theories and pedagogies; training in multilingual composition and/or experience teaching to multilingual students; training in basic writing instruction; and experience in multimodal composing and teaching writing with digital technologies. Qualification to teach other needed courses in our curriculum, especially literature surveys, linguistics, or advanced composition, is also desirable. AUM’s student population is as diverse as the population of the state and includes a high proportion of traditionally underrepresented groups. AUM lecturers teach a 4/4 load. Internal funding to support scholarship and professional development is available.
