Job Summary
The Assistant Director for State Programs and FWS will assist in all aspects of the administration and awarding of the state and federal work-study programs.

Due to the Governor's approval for the Cost of Living Adjustment to Fiscal Years 2022 and 2023, advertised salaries may be impacted. The final salary at the time of hire may be at a higher rate, but will not be lower than advertised.

Responsibilities
  • Perform related duties as assigned to support the mission of the University
  • Review and ensure that the appropriate students are awarded state funds in accordance with state regulations using CHECS and BANNER
  • Review CHECS and BANNER data to ensure accuracy and work with offices on campus and at other schools to update data
  • Assist in the administration of the Federal Work-Study Program to expand the program into our local communities at nonprofit organizations and school systems in order to offer Georgia Southern students meaningful, real-world work experiences
  • Supervise off-campus students as well as input information into the Payroll systems. Off-campus visits to employers will be a part of this position
  • Develop budgets for departments and award students who are eligible for Federal Work-Study as they are hired.
  • Serve as the point person for departments and entities who have student employees funded by Federal Work-Study along with the Associate Director
  • Assist in supervising Financial Aid Counselors

Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree

Required Experience
  • Three (3) or more years of related work experience

$49,400
