Job Description Summary

Under the direction of the Director, ERP Solution Services provides functional guidance in the operation ofthe College’s application systems. Perform analytical tasks and activities related to developing andmaintaining application systems, including conducting analyses of business processes and functions,developing system and application program requirements, developing specifications, and testing andimplementing them in collaboration with users and technical staff.

Minimum Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Technology, Management Information Systems, or related field.
  2. A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in business analysis or a related field. A history of leading or supporting successful projects.
  3. Experience creating detailed reports, giving presentations, providing training, writing functional design specifications, configuring software, creating test plans and implementing solutions.
  4. Project and Database Management skills preferred, but not required. .
  5. A comparable amount of training and experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.



KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES
  • Knowledge of application software and the relationships that exist between different modules.
  • Ability to perform detailed work independently, as well as, in a team environment.
  • Creative problem solving skills for translating problems to solutions.
  • Understanding of the complexity of an integrated ERP system functionality and the relationship with associated systems.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to provide excellent client service
  • Strong presentation, communication, organization and analytical skills

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • LEADS and CONDUCTS definition and analysis of business requirements, procedures and problems to develop effective solutions, and to troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise in various business processes. Coordinates the testing of system solutions, User acceptance signoff, and assists with production implementation.
  • EVALUATES business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions. Update, implement, and maintain procedures.
  • ENSURES solutions meet business needs and requirements.
  • ENSURES security and integrity of programs and data.
  • LEADS ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies.
  • CONDUCTS one-on-one and User group meetings to share ideas and findings. Documents and communicates the results of your efforts.
  • GATHERS critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and produce useful reports.
  • INFORMS and COACH users about best practices in higher education and functional business operations.
  • COMMUNICATE AND TRAIN users on the features and functional components of business applications systems and forthcoming vendor software update changes.
  • TRAIN users in parameter and rules setup to meet specific business functional needs.
  • MAINTAINS thorough understanding of the functional components of applications systems and forthcoming vendor software update changes.
  • GUIDES users in optimizing the use of Business Applications to include Ellucian Products and Business applications.
  • SERVES as a liaison between stakeholders and users.
  • DEVELOPS effective functional and technical procedural documentation.
  • RESEARCH and DOCUMENT data workflows, logical business processes and interfaces in conjunction with functional area use and best practices.
  • COORDINATES and COMMUNICATES functional process issues and concerns.
  • EFFECTIVELY communicate insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
  • CREATES and EXECUTES test plans with Users to confirm that programs meet specifications and quality assurance.
  • MANAGES projects, develops project plans, and monitors project performance.
  • DEVELOPS requirement specifications by collaborating with colleagues and Users.
  • COLLABORATES with colleagues to develop and implement custom solutions that meet the User’s functional business needs.
  • TRACKS , document and provide project tasks and status for production support issues and
    resolutions.
  • PERFORMS other related duties as assigned
Job Requirements

  1. Must be able to work Monday thru Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  2. Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written standard English.
  3. As required by the 1986 Immigration Act, be prepared to present acceptable documentation showing your identity and that you are a U.S. citizen or an alien who is authorized to work.
  4. A background investigation will be conducted prior to the offer of employment. A signed authorization for the release of personal information will be required if selected for an interview.
