Purpose of Position
The Department of Accounting & Business Law in the Haile College of Business at Northern Kentucky University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Accounting position. The expected start date for the position can be either January 2023 or August 2023.

The AACSB -accredited Haile College of Business serves almost 3,000 of NKU’s 16,000 students with a full complement of traditional degree programs, plus several nationally recognized centers and specialized programs. The College offers a BSBA Accounting Degree and a Master of Accountancy Degree which is offered both face-to-face and 100% online.

Expectations for the successful candidate include the following: Will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in one or more of the following areas: data analytics, accounting information systems, intermediate/advanced managerial accounting, auditing, and intermediate/advanced financial accounting, both in the classroom and online including daytime and evening class times; will be expected to publish quality peer-reviewed academic research; will participate in engaged service to NKU and the community; and will possess commitment and sensitivity to fostering a working and learning environment which is supportive of individuals from diverse backgrounds with a team of faculty and staff that contributes to the collegiality of the Department, College, and University. Qualifications
Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in Accounting from an AACSB -accredited doctoral program. ABDs with evidence of imminent degree completion will also be considered. This accounting position is not a remote employment position; it requires a physical, on-campus presence at our Highland Heights location for teaching face-to-face courses, as well as for University service assignments.

The first round of interviews for this position will be held at the 2022 American Accounting Association ( AAA ) annual meeting in San Diego through the AAA’s Career Center.
