Anticipated Start Date:
Associate Director is responsible for a wide range of accounting,
finance, and administrative services at a Community College. These
services include several functional areas as assigned: General
accounting management, Capital planning, Grant accounting, Travel
and Professional Development, Accounts Receivable and Billing,
Procurement and Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets management.
Incumbents must possess proven ability to effectively work with a
culturally, linguistically, and ethnically diverse faculty, staff,
and student. They are expected to have excellent oral and written
communication skills along with strong Information technology
literacy skills such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook,
Master’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related area
One (1) or more years of experience in a Fiscal or Business Office;
or a combination of education, training and experience which would
lead to the competencies required for successful performance of the
position’s essential duties.
Successful Candidate must have or must possess:
- Experience with Banner or an electronic financial accounting
- Experience with Fixed asset management.
- Experience with Business Office operation including procurement
and Accounts Payable.
- Experience with Grant accounting.
- Experience with Cashier’s/Bursar’s Office and accounts
- Experience with State travel and professional development

Under the direction of the Director, Associate Dean, or other
Administrator, the Associate Director is accountable for the
management of the College’s financial and physical resources
through effective performance in these essential functional
