Who we are seeking:

We seek an experienced and collaborative leader to oversee graduate academic programs within the Champlain College Online. These programs includes oversight of our Master's programs as well as our new doctorate of professional studies program and future graduate programs that are being developed. You will be a member of the Champlain College Online leadership team and responsible for administrative oversight, ongoing curricular oversight, program evaluation and evolution, hiring and support of program faculty, as well as content and process excellence for graduate programs. You will also work with our marketing team to help position and promote graduate programs to potential students. Additionally, you will oversee the admissions process for graduate programs, including serving as a  mentor and resource for graduate students throughout their degree program.

Reporting to the VP of Online Education, as the Associate Dean of Graduate Studies, you will support the dynamic and growing needs of Champlain College Online. Growth and excellence in academic programs is key to achieving the strategic vision for the College, so we look for you to bring innovative ideas to this role. You will have a deep appreciation of the complexities of providing quality education in today's ever changing higher education landscape, will have demonstrated the ability to be effective both within and leading teams, will think both strategically and tactically, and be committed to the college's goals of fostering inclusive and strength-based education.

Requirements:
What are the qualifications we believe will set you up for success:

  • A Doctorate degree in the social sciences;
  • 10+ years of experience in an administrative role in higher education;
  • Demonstrated experience in major instructional and research supervisory work experience with graduate students;
  • Demonstrated experience as a member of doctoral committees;
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills;
  • Strong attention to detail and superior critical thinking skills;
  • High degree of comfort working in systems and applications; and
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Additional Information:
This position is a remote position with potential for travel as needed to the campus in Burlington as well as in supporting promotional events for programs.
