Job Summary

The Senior Mobile Developer should be able to work through the entire application design life cycle (concept, design, test, release, support) to independently design and build advanced mobile applications, using platform native mobile developer tools and languages, that access internal and external data sources and APIs. Candidate should also have experience creating and maintaining API back-end systems that are accessed by mobile applications.

Essential Functions
  • Design, build, enhance, and maintain the DrexelOne Mobile application (iOS or Android)
  • Work with team to design, build, enhance, and maintain DrexelOne API server applications and other middle tier services (e.g. push notification system)
  • Manage requests to put mobile applications in Apple App Store / Google Play Store
  • Produce and maintain all necessary documentation for projects, such as system/solution architecture diagrams, interface wireframes/mockups, feature descriptions, interaction and process flow diagrams, and screenshots
  • Stay up to date on emerging technology and best practices, especially in the mobile application development space
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Ideal candidates will have 5-7 years of mobile development experience with at least one original app published in either the Apple App Store or Google Play Store
  • Candidates should also have a working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, technologies, and trends
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience developing modern mobile applications in Objective-C/Swift or Java/Kotlin with Xcode or Android Studio.
  • 5+ years of experience developing or contributing to mobile-related server-side APIs and other services with an appropriate platform, such as C#/.NET or Java/Spring Boot.
  • 5+ years of experience with modern software design patterns, debugging, and refactoring.
  • Experience with API testing tools, such as Postman.
  • Experience with source code management tools, such as Git.
  • Experience with continuous integration and automated build products, such as Jenkins.
  • Experience with issue tracking products such as Jira.
