To provide executive level administrative support.

Job Description:

Description of Duties and Tasks
  • Coordinating and maintaining certain aspects of operating budgets including receiving and processing requests for budget expenditures such as travel, equipment purchases, and funds for other activities and events.
  • Organizing and maintaining events and the detailed arrangements associated with such; including preparing or providing agendas, meeting minutes, equipment, location, information packets, and follow-up action items.
  • Expediting the processing of documents or other items requiring action
  • Performing complex computer activities including word processing, data processing, scheduling processes, visual and graphic presentations.
  • Establishing and maintaining files, logs, and other tracking systems for a variety of projects and events; may include website or social media updates.
  • May assign and review the work of office personnel.
  • Providing executive level support to the Vice Chancellor of Technology including but not limited to:
  • Scheduling appointments and maintaining calendars
  • Scheduling and coordinate staff and other meetings
  • Preparing communications such as memos, emails, invoices, reports and other correspondence
  • Managing accounts and performing bookkeeping
  • Creating and maintaining filing systems, both electronic and physical
  • Answering phones and greeting visitors
  • Gathering and distributing mail
  • Writing and editing documents including letters, reports and instructional documents
  • Other related duties as assigned
Knowledge
  • Correct American English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary.

  • Office management processes and procedures.

  • Principles and methods of budget preparation and expenditure control.

  • Adept at calendar management in modern software platforms including Microsoft applications (Outlook, Outlook 365), Google Calendar and other similar applications.

Required Work Experience
  • Three years related work experience.

Required Education
  • Associate’s degree

Four years of related work experience may substitute for this education requirement. Applicants who substitute work experience to meet the education requirement must use additional related work experience to meet the years of "Required Work Experience" for this position. Please note that the college reserves the right to amend these terms of substitution at any time.



Physical Requirements
  • Work is performed in a standard office or similar environment.

  • Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.

  • Occasional lifting of objects up to 10 pounds.

$45,537 - $65,055

ACC Benefits Overview

Full-time faculty and staffing table employees who work in full-time and/or part-time positions at the college are eligible for ACC medical benefits effective the first of the month after their first 60 days of employment. Benefits include medical, dental, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, retirement plans and AD&D.

ACC does not participate in Social Security. ACC participates in the Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS) and the Optional Retirement Program (ORP-Faculty and Administrators Only). Part-time and Hourly employees participate in the ACC Money Purchase Plan (ACCMPP) as a retirement program required by federal law.
