Job Summary
The primary responsibility of the ASN Evening Faculty member is
teaching undergraduate nursing didactic and/or clinical courses;
advising ASN students; maintaining involvement in University,
College, School, ASN Program, and professional service; and
contributing to the nursing body of knowledge through personal and
collaborative service. This position is dedicated to an evening
teaching load with lab coordinator responsibilities.
The position reports directly to the ASN Program Coordinator. The
evening faculty member consults with and assists nursing faculty
and staff on other campuses regarding availability and need for
equipment and supplies. Provide for proper maintenance, storage,
and security of equipment and supplies, while promoting maximum
utilization in skills lab, and simulation lab.
Minimum Qualifications
- An earned graduate degree in nursing
- An active, unencumbered Alabama registered nurse license, or a multistate registered nurse license issued by a party state
- Academic and experiential qualifications to teach in the area assigned
- A minimum of at least three years of employment as a registered nurse
