Designs and implements talent management strategies and programs from acquisition to development of the university workforce to accomplish the strategic goals and objectives of the University of Houston.
- Develops, manages and leads talent management programs and initiatives, including training and development activities for employees and leaders.
- Develops, manages and evaluates a cohesive university-wide staff training and career development program; creates opportunities for professional development, individualized training and coaching that support faculty and staff.
- Provides direction and supervision of staff responsible for university-wide, training and development, training administration, scheduling, marketing, and resource coordination.
- Provides direction and oversight for the development and administration of system-wide compliance training, online training, related auditing and reporting requirements.
- Coordinates the promotion of training programs through correspondence, HR's website and university news articles.
- Conducts leadership training courses for University supervisors and managers; assists HR Business Partners with fulfilling the leadership training needs of client base.
- Develops marketing and communication plan concerning all training and development opportunities.
- Ensures that training data is collected for metric evaluation, reports and return on investment.
- Develops partnerships internally and externally to deliver the maximum learning opportunities for UH employees.
- Performs other job related duties as required.

Qualifications :
Bachelors and 5 years experience
Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed.Requires a minimum of five (5) years of directly job-related experience.
