Coordinator of Student Activities

 

Coastal Carolina University is currently accepting applications for the Coordinator of Student Activities. This position will be housed in the Office of Student Activities and Leadership within the division of Student Affairs.

 

The Coordinator of Student Activities designs, coordinates, and assesses a comprehensive portfolio of programs to include social, educational, and diverse events to meet the needs of the broad-based student constituency. In addition, this position will assist in the oversight of the operations and program development for the Student Organization Resource Center.

 

Duties will include, but are not limited to: provide general oversight of Coastal Activities Board’s (CAB) programming and management including advising on overall CAB and student-activity related budgeting; supervise CAB officers who receive a stipend for their role; seek buy-in for CAB events among students, faculty and staff; design and implement educational programs to train CAB and its members; lead a team to plan, market, execute, and evaluate large-scale campus wide programs for the campus including, but not limited to Homecoming Week Activities, Teal Traditions Programming, Teal After Ten Programming, Finals Frenzy, and Teal Tuesday; collaborate with other entities on campus to help support other campus wide programming initiatives; ensure programming is developed to serve a diverse student population; serve as backup to the Associate Director for the management and supervision of the Student Organization Resource Center student staff and organization management; develop and maintain comprehensive assessments for student activities; manage the budgets for the Coastal Activities Board and homecoming accounts; and perform other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements:  A bachelor’s degree and related experience is required. A master’s degree in higher education, counseling, public administration or related field and prior experience in a college or university setting is preferred.

Student Services Program Coordinator I (CB65/61122598/FTE-S00608P), full-time position with benefits. SC State Pay Band: 04.  Normal work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the university.  High level energy position. This position requires extensive evening and weekend hours as assigned by the supervisor, as well as accompanying students on overnight travel.
