Overall, the variety of financial services this position addresses include but are not limited to responsibilities for moderate to complex fiscal activities specifically processing payroll costing adjustments, journal entries, deposits, interdepartmental billings, requisitions, spend authorizations, expense reports, customer billing, accounts receivable, financial reporting, and assisting with reconciliations and other associated payroll, supply chain and administrative functions of the Business Office. As a team member of the Office of Finance and Business Services, the position actively contributes to continuous quality improvement, to support team goals, and support the mission and strategic plan of the Marion campus, regional campus cluster and the University. While this position serves primarily payroll, accounts receivable and administrative related duties, it also serves as back-up to the campus fiscal associate – supply chain position.
Minimum Education Required:
Bachelor's Level Degree or equivalent combination of education and
experience with a Major in business administration or accounting,
preferred.
Desired Qualifications:
Detail-oriented and accurate, ability to troubleshoot, strong
organizational and communication skills, demonstrated customer
service mindset and collaborative style of work; proven ability to
manage multiple time-critical priorities and projects with minimal
supervision. Knowledge of university policies and procedures
desired and proficiency with Microsoft Office, and in particular,
MS Excel, is required. One year of experience with procurement,
payroll/timekeeping, or other fiscal-related duties in higher
education and experience with Workday preferred.
Additional Information:
- Compensation: $31,200 - $41,600 Annually
- Work schedule: Monday – Friday
- Standard office hours as approved by Fiscal Officer
- Telecommuting may be an option if the university continues to provide that alternative; but decision is based on business needs and university directives
- Reports to: Fiscal Officer (Erin Timmins)
