The Department of World Languages and Cultures seeks an adjunct faculty member to teach:

Italian 006, Italian Conversation in Fall 2022

This course will be taught on the Moraga campus, in person, on Tuesdays from 1:30pm - 2:35pm during the 2022 Fall term.

Course Description:

Conversation on contemporary issues. Meets once a week. Recommended for minors in Italian Studies, students who know some Italian, and those who have studied in Italy.

Position Description

The World Languages and Cultures Department at Saint Mary's College of California invites applications to teach one quarter-credit 65-minute a week Italian Advanced Conversation course in the fall term, 2022.

Qualifications:
  • Candidates should hold either a BA along with a demonstrated record of professional and academic excellence or a combination of professional and academic experience. MA preferred.
  • Demonstrated teaching effectiveness and a strong commitment to teaching undergraduate learners.
  • The successful candidate will be expected to engage in course and class preparation and grading on a daily basis, spend 1 (65 minute session) each week providing classroom instruction, and hold office hours by appointment. Candidates should also be comfortable in a small-classroom teaching environment with an interactive learning emphasis.

Candidates must reside in California.
