Position description for PERFA 160-01 (Fall 2022) Tech Practicum for Leadership Roles

This course will be taught on the Moraga campus, in person, on Mondays from 4:00pm - 5:35pm pm during the 2022 Fall term.

Course Description: A structured process and periodic check-ins are provided for students taking on a backstage leadership role on the mainstage theatre production. Roles may include Stage Manager, Props Manager, Sound Designer, or Assistant Master Electrician, for example. The instructor will serve as the Production Manager for the mainstage Theatre production.



Qualifications:
Required Qualifications: An MFA in Production Management or a related field (such as Stage Management or Technical Production) and 3 years of experience working with undergraduate students. The successful candidate will have experience in a culturally diverse classroom setting, the ability to create a student-centered, interactive and collaborative learning environment, and a strong commitment to undergraduate liberal arts education.

Candidates must reside in California.
