The ideal candidate would enrich our curriculum through vibrant teaching in methods conversant with inclusive pedagogy and creative critical practices. In addition to teaching introductory film and composition courses, this new professor would be encouraged to design introductory and advanced courses that derive from their research interests. Teaching load is 3-3. The successful candidate would be expected to mentor students, participate in (and ideally initiate) co-curricular activities, and contribute to departmental service. Hendrix seeks to extend its tradition of excellence in teaching and scholarship by attracting faculty who combine mastery of their disciplines with broad intellectual interests and commitment to the aims of a liberal arts college.
