TITLE: Adjunct (Faculty) LENGTH OF APPOINTMENT: One Term

CLASSIFICATION: Instructional

SUPERVISORS: Dean, Associate Dean, Program Manager

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

General:

Observe all college rules and regulations, State guidelines and professional mandates appropriate to teaching faculty

Maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, students, and community Assist with curriculum review and development whenever appropriate

Specific:

1. Meet all scheduled classes for the full period as delineated on the schedule
2. Teach assigned courses in accordance with catalog course descriptions and academic specifications
3. Furnish each student and the dean's office with a course syllabus, which follows the prescribed format, including evaluation procedures, withdrawal procedures, class attendance, and other policies consistent with college procedures. Syllabus must be submitted to dean's office prior to or during the first week classes begin
4. Keep accurate and up-to-date records on all students
5. Submit grade reports on or before deadlines according to college procedures
6. Participate in performance appraisal and instructional observation processes as specified by Associate VP or VP Academic Affairs
7. Demonstrate knowledge of current instructional methods
8. Use instructional support materials and equipment as appropriate to enhance class presentations

Qualifications

Master's Degree with 18 graduate semester hours in teaching discipline or work experience may be considered for alternative credentialing.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

• Experience in applying IoT architectures coupled with modern microcontrollers for data capture and signal relaying
• Experience in designing IOT based prototypes for consumers and prosumers in the IoT technology industry
• Experience in designing independent IoT devices for sectors like home and industrial managed systems automation
• Experience in microcontroller programming with C/C++
• Experience in coding with Python
• Experience in designing circuits and writing code for prototyping
• Experience with control sensors and Internet of Things devices using microcontroller inputs and outputs
• Experience with writing comprehensive product and process documentation
• Experience in utilizing Microsoft Visio for flowcharting
• Experience in managing Linux-based systems
• IT project management experience
• Experience with Raspberry PI and Arduino devices
