Durham
University Business School, one of the longest established business

Within the Business School, the
Department of Management and Marketing hosts the editorial office
of the Journal of Management Studies (JMS). JMS, which is governed
by the Society for the Advancement of Management Studies (SAMS), is
a leading academic journal. It has one of the highest impact
factors in management and business studies and is listed in the
Financial Times' top 50 journals.
The JMS editorial office administers
the publication of the Journal of Management Studies and handles
well over 1,000 submissions per year. It also provides
administrative support to the Society for the Advancement of
Management Studies. This includes the organisation of events at
major international conferences and the publicising of activities
and published papers on social media.
The postholder will work as an
integral part of the Editorial Office team. They will be focusing
on the processing of manuscripts and on their subsequent promotion
on social media. The postholder will be working with authors and
editors to promote research published in the journal on social
media. Furthermore, they will provide a professional and efficient
administrative and promotional service for the Journal of
Management Studies and its governing organisation, SAMS.
