Visiting Assistant Professor of Japanese

The Department of World Languages and Cultures at The University of Toledo invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor position in Japanese beginning August 22, 2022. The area of specialization is open, however primary teaching responsibilities will focus on teaching introductory Japanese culture courses in English, as well as Japanese language courses at all levels.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications include a Master’s degree, proficiency in both Japanese and English, demonstrated excellence in teaching Japanese language and culture courses to speakers of other languages at the college level, familiarity with current language pedagogy as well as experiences of using technology in classroom teaching.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference will be given to candidates who have completed a Ph.D. in a relevant field at time of employment.
