Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for all aspects of leading and coaching a competitive NCAA DII women's softball team that competes in the Mountain East Conference;
- Recruits Division II quality student-athletes;
- Knowledge of and abides by Fairmont State University, NCAA and Mountain East Conference rules, regulations, policies and procedures;
- Plans and oversees team practices;
- Responsible for oversight and monitoring of academic progress of the student-athletes on the team with particular attention to satisfactory progress toward degree, graduation and ASR;
- Works in conjunction with the Director of Athletics on scheduling of contests and program budget;
- Takes an active role in marketing women's softball on campus and within the community through public appearances and other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics;
- Maintains working knowledge of and compliance with relevant NCAA and Mountain East Conference rules, and reports any concerns or violations noted;
- Performs related duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.

Preferred Qualifications
Successful head coaching experience at the collegiate level is preferred. Evidence of the successful recruitment of qualified student-athletes.
Special Conditions
Position will require working non-traditional hours, including evenings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
