Position Summary
The Nursing Program Director consults with leaders of the Fort Lewis College community to address an integrative approach to course offerings. The position is responsible for nurturing relationships with clinical agencies to develop community-based clinical placements to support the nursing program while working collaboratively with leadership, faculty, and staff at both institutions. This will be a tenure/ tenure track position with an administrative appointment, open rank (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor) based on experience with teaching duties after the program has been developed.

Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Nursing
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities
- Demonstrated teaching excellence
- Current licensure as a registered nurse in Colorado
- Doctoral degree in Nursing.
- Experience with CO State Board of Nursing rules for Nursing Education Programs
- Experience with CCNE Accreditation standards.
- Experience with curriculum development
- Resident of the Four Corners Region of Colorado
- Visioning, implementing, and evaluating efforts to develop a CU Nursing BSN satellite program at Fort Lewis College, including collaboration with and consultation with other departments/divisions across FLC.
- Identifying and implementing strategies to recruit students into a nursing major.
- Implements and evaluates outreach events to engage students with an interest in the nursing profession.
- Working collaboratively with other departments/divisions across FLC creates a curricular pathway for a pre-nursing major.
- Engages community partners and develops MOUs for clinical placements for nursing students.
- Advises students about career and academic opportunities within the nursing profession.
- Demonstrates a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities
- Maintains knowledge and awareness of digital accessibility including the American with Disabilities Act and Section 508.
- Produces and remediates digitally accessible materials in accordance with FLC standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned
