The Department of World Languages and
Cultures in the College of Arts and Sciences invites applications
for two fulltime Lecturers: one to teach Swahili language and
cultural studies and one to teach Chinese language and cultural
studies. We seek outstanding applicants with a demonstrated track
record of excellence in teaching. Evidence of interest and success
in mentoring underrepresented students is highly desired.
Howard University, a culturally

potential, with particular emphasis upon educational opportunities

Required Minimum
Qualifications:
- Earned Master’s degree in African Studies, Swahili studies, or a related field from an accredited institution;
- Earned Master’s in Chinese language or a related field from an accredited institution;
- Record of effective teaching; and
- Effective communication and organizational skills
