Position Summary

The Office of Undergraduate Education within the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences ( SEAS ) at the University at Buffalo is seeking an Undergraduate Recruitment and Student Support Coordinator. The Coordinator will engage with a broad range of faculty, staff, and students to develop and support programs aimed at the recruitment and retention of SEAS undergraduate students.

As the Undergraduate Recruitment and Student Support Coordinator, you will:
  • Develop, plan, coordinate, and execute effective communication, programming, and events for the recruitment of first-year and transfer engineering and computer science students.
  • Develop, plan, and coordinate effective communication, programming, and events for onboarding first-year and transfer engineering and computer science students.
  • Develop, plan, coordinate, and execute effective strategies, programming, and events for a SEAS peer mentoring program.
  • Support staff development initiatives within the SEAS Office of Undergraduate Education
  • Provide administrative support for the SEAS Associate Dean of Undergraduate Education, including scheduling matters, organizing meetings, gathering and analyzing data, preparing reports, and contributing to special projects.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2 years of experience in undergraduate recruitment or student success programs.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written communication, and oral communication skills.
  • Social media knowledge.
  • Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook).
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and demonstrate a commitment to learning new skills as needed.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree.
  • Experience with customer relationship management systems.
  • Experience with web interface design and programming.
  • Experience with UB applications (Slate, HUB, Navigate).
