Salary for Announcement

The salary range for this position is $49,900 – $62,400. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based upon a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, education, experience, specialty and training.

The above salary ranges represent the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the ranges of possible compensation at the time of posting. MSU Denver offers a full benefits package.

Position Summary

Under the guidance of the Assistant Director of Accessibility Technology and Testing, the Testing Accommodations Manager is responsible for managing testing accommodations and proctoring exams under approved conditions for students registered with the Access Center. The incumbent provides a high level of customer service to students and faculty related to the accommodated exam process. This position ensures procedural compliance and integrity of the testing environment and student exam accommodations.

Duties/Responsibilities

Managing Testing Operations (80%):
  • Manages all aspects of exam administration including: use of exam scheduling software by students and faculty; reserving rooms; coordinating proctor schedules, notifying professors about testing accommodations, verifying student information, preparing and issuing test materials, preparing hardware and software access and accessibility technology equipment, ensuring a secure testing environment, triaging issues that occur during testing administration.
  • Manages functionality of electronic scheduling database system to ensure effective coordination and oversight of testing accommodations.
  • Ensures guidelines are followed for maintaining general testing integrity.
  • Serves as liaison to faculty and other university partners in all areas related to testing.
  • Recruits, hires, trains, schedules and supervises part-time student staff.
  • Enforces and updates accommodated testing policies and procedures.
  • Provides and maintains excellent customer service.
Administrative and Other Support Duties (20%):
  • In collaboration with Access Center staff, provides assistance in other operational areas.
  • Compiles reports and analyze data regarding testing accommodations.
  • Maintains accurate records.
  • Manages functionality of electronic scheduling database system to ensure effective coordination and oversight of testing accommodations.
  • Ensures provision of a safe and cleaning testing environment.
  • Assures program is equipped with materials and resources to provide necessary services.
  • Assists in the planning and participation of department events and activities.
  • Participates in professional development activities including workshops and webinars.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education.
  • One or more years of experience in a customer service setting providing office or administrative support.
  • Experience coordinating time sensitive operations and services.
  • One or more years of experience using Microsoft Office Suite that includes Word, Excel and Outlook
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education.
  • Experience working in a testing center particularly within higher education or similar setting.
  • Professional experience working with students with disabilities in an educational or comparable setting.
  • Supervisory experience with demonstrated ability to hire, train and support staff.
  • Demonstrated experience with scheduling software.
  • Experience with handling confidential/sensitive information.
Work Hours

8-5 Monday-Friday – 100% on campus
